The conference was attended by Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Vice Chairman of the Central Emulation and Reward Council; Mr. Do Huu Huy - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province, Head of the Emulation Cluster in 2024.
Also attending were representatives of the Central Emulation and Reward Board, leaders of the People's Committee, leaders of the Departments of Home Affairs of the provinces: Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Binh Thuan, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Ninh Thuan, Dong Nai and Tay Ninh; advanced models of the Emulation Cluster.
The conference summarizes the implementation of the emulation covenant in 2024 and the signing of the emulation covenant in 2025 to more deeply recognize and evaluate the aspects that have been done, the remaining aspects, limitations, draw lessons in socio-economic development, emulation work, rewards, and introduce advanced models in the Southeast Cluster. Thereby, promoting the achieved results and overcoming shortcomings and limitations; at the same time, determining goals and tasks for the year, as a basis for launching an emulation movement and signing an emulation agreement in 2025.
At the beginning of the conference, Mr. Do Huu Huy - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province - gave an opening speech and welcomed delegates from other provinces in the emulation cluster to attend the conference.
In the past year, the economic growth rate (GRDP) of the provinces in the Cluster mostly grew well, averaging 8.64%. Total local budget revenue reached over VND 270,829 billion. The economic structure of the provinces in the Cluster continues to shift in the right direction, in line with the potential and strengths of each province.
Emulation and reward work has been implemented promptly and seriously by the provinces, ensuring compliance with legal regulations; focusing on implementing key emulation movements launched by the Prime Minister, rewarding the right subjects, right achievements, paying attention to rewarding remote areas, ethnic minority areas, border areas, islands, small collectives, individuals who are farmers, workers, direct laborers, households... actively contributing to the overall socio-economic development of the country.
According to the program, the conference reported the results of the implementation of the Cluster's emulation agreement in 2024. After that, the delegates will discuss the contents.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Vice Chairman of the Central Emulation and Reward Council - will present flowers and symbols to 7 typical advanced individuals of the emulation cluster; presented the Government's flag to Binh Phuoc province and gave a speech. Leaders of the People's Committees of member provinces in the emulation cluster will sign an emulation agreement in 2025.
