On October 18, information from people in Kim Lien commune (Nghe An) said that a traffic accident had just occurred in the area, killing one person.
Accordingly, the person in distress was Mr. Nguyen Quang Loc, former Chairman of the People's Committee of Kim Lien Commune, Nam Dan District (old), who had just retired according to the regime prescribed in Decree 178. The incident occurred on the evening of October 17, 2025, in the area near the roundabout leading to Kim Lien Relic Site.
At this time, after the storm, many sections of power lines and telecommunication cables on the route from Kim Lien Commune People's Committee to the roundabout of the relic site are still lying around and messy but have not been completely repaired. While traveling through the above road, Mr. Loc was unfortunately caught with a rope falling and falling, leading to his death on the spot.
Previously, local people said that someone had fallen off a motorbike at this location and had to take him to a medical station for treatment of the wound.
Local people reported the situation of low cable car lines, causing danger to traffic participants, especially in the evening, but were not handled promptly.
Currently, the authorities of Kim Lien commune coordinate with relevant agencies to conduct an inspection, determine the cause of the incident and request relevant management units to urgently repair the downed rope points to ensure the safety of the people.
