Man dies in temporary house fire in Ho Chi Minh City

HCMC - On October 17, a fire broke out at a temporary house in Chau Pha commune (HCMC), killing one person.

On the afternoon of October 17, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team (CC&CNCH) of area 25 reported a fire in the early morning of the same day at a temporary house in Group 3, Hamlet 4, Chau Pha Commune (HCMC) that killed one person.

Accordingly, in the early morning of October 17, the unit received a fire report at 0:30 from Mr. Nguyen Van Binh (born in 1987, local resident). Immediately afterwards, the unit dispatched 2 fire trucks and 15 officers and soldiers to the scene, about 16 km from the unit.

When the force arrived, the fire of about 20 square meters in the temporary house area was extinguished by local residents, police and security forces of Chau Pha commune. The Fire Prevention and Rescue Team deployed a B binh to spray water to cool down, extinguish the fire, and prevent the fire from spreading to surrounding households.

The fire killed Mr. L.T.P (born in 1988, Can Tho City). Property damage is being counted, the cause of the fire is being verified by the authorities.

According to the initial assessment, the fire broke out at a late time, local forces promptly used hand-carried fire extinguishers and domestic water to control the fire from spreading.

Currently, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Team of Region 25 is coordinating with relevant authorities to continue investigating, clarifying the cause of the fire and counting the damage.
