The project to invest in the construction of a railway overpass in An Binh commune, Van Yen district, with a total length of more than 1.5km, is invested by the Yen Bai Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board.
The project is constructed by Chien Cong Company Limited and Licogi Joint Stock Company as the contractor, with a total investment of 100 billion VND.
The project started in 2021 and is expected to be completed in 2023. However, the route is still not completed due to site clearance problems.
According to Lao Dong, at the Railway Overpass Construction Investment Project in An Binh Commune, Van Yen District, traffic and lighting infrastructure has been mostly completed.
At the time of recording on October 26, the two ends of the project are still blocked and have not been built.
Mr. Nguyen Van Do (42 years old, An Binh, Van Yen) said that before the project was built, people had to cut the land to create dirt roads to move.
"When part of the road is concreted, transporting cinnamon will be less difficult. However, the first two parts of the road have not been completed to synchronize traffic," Mr. Do shared.
Speaking with Lao Dong, Chairman of An Binh Commune People's Committee Tran Thong Nhat said that households have not yet accepted the compensation plan for site clearance.
"Currently, people want to be compensated for constructions on the land, but the regulations do not allow it. To be fair, the province has established a compensation mechanism of 40% of the value of the housing project. The locality and the authorities are mobilizing people to hand over the land so that the project can be completed as soon as possible," said the Chairman of An Binh commune.
According to Tran Xuan Cuong, Director of the Traffic Construction Investment Management Board of Yen Bai province, there are still problems in compensation for 3 households on the project site.
"For the handed over site, the contractors have almost completed the construction, now only waiting to resolve the remaining problems to complete the project," Mr. Tran Xuan Cuong informed.
Previously, during the inspection of the progress of implementation, compensation plan, and site clearance of the Railway Overpass Construction Investment Project in An Binh Commune, Van Yen District, Chairman of Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee Tran Huy Tuan requested that localities should promptly complete the approval of compensation unit prices; focus on resolving existing problems and difficulties in site clearance to promptly hand over the site to the contractor, ensuring the project is implemented according to the set schedule.
