The easy task of high wages and luxurious aspirations
According to information from Nghe An Provincial Police, the Criminal Police Department of the Provincial Police has just successfully broken up a special project to fight against human trafficking crimes, arresting 03 subjects leading a ring that defrauded 13 victims to work in Tam Giac Vang Economic Special Zone.
Through the work of grasping the situation, the Criminal Police Department determined that in Binh Chuan, Cam Phuc, Nga My communes (Nghe An province), there was an "Humans trafficking" ring, with Vi Thi Lan (born in 1994, residing in Cam Lac commune, Ha Tinh province, originally from Binh Chuan commune) being an important link in this ring.
Lan is a subject who has worked abroad, so she has a relationship with some "bosses" across the border. Grasping the information that scams in the Tam Giac Vang Economic Zone need to find many Vietnamese workers to work, Vi Thi Lan had the idea of colluding with subjects in the Western communes of Nghe An province, establishing a human trafficking ring, and sending them to the Tam Giac Vang Economic Zone for illegal profits.
To carry out her plan, Vi Thi Lan colluded with another subject who had a family relationship with Lan, Lo Thi Vuong (born in 1993, residing in Nga My commune) to search for "sources" of goods.
With the trick of "easy work with high salary", the victims that Lan and Vuong target are young men and women of working age who do not have stable jobs to lure and attract them. To make the victim more confident, in addition to the promised salary of 15 - 18 million VND/month, Lan and Vuong also promised to take care of all travel expenses and arrange accommodation during work.
Having tricked the victims across the border, Lan and Vuong will collide with a group of foreigners to send the victims to work at fraud companies in the Tam Giac Vang Special Economic Zone owned by foreigners. The victim who wanted to return home had to pay a large ransom.
It is worth mentioning that not only did Lan and Vuong sell the victims across the border, they also lured some of their victims to continue contacting Vietnam to trick other victims into selling them all with the trick of light work and high salaries. With the above trick, Lo Thi Nham (born in 2004, with permanent residence in Nga My commune, Nghe An province; currently residing in An Duong ward, Hai Phong city) from the role of a victim sold by Lan and Vuong has also actively participated in a human trafficking ring when she tricked some victims into selling them across the border.
After a period of monitoring and synchronously applying professional measures, from September 2-7, 2025, determining that the above 3 subjects were present in Vietnam, the Project Team mobilized maximum forces, established 3 Working Groups in Nghe An province, Ha Tinh province and Hai Phong city to simultaneously arrest Vi Thi Lan, Lo Thi Vuong and Lo Thi Nham.

At the Investigation Agency, the subjects confessed to their crimes of Human Trafficking. Initially, the Project Management Board clarified that the above group of subjects had defrauded 13 victims into the Tam Giac Vang Economic Zone to serve fraud activities in cyberspace. The authorities also successfully rescued 13 victims who were scammed by the above subjects.
According to the Police Agency, the common point of human trafficking cases is that victims are often lured by subjects, promising to find light jobs, high salaries, get married abroad... to have a rich life. The workplace and workplace that the subjects lure and promise to bring the victim to work often do not have a specific address. Through the incident, the police agency recommends that people need to raise their vigilance, recognize the plots, methods, and tricks of human trafficking crimes to avoid unfortunate consequences that may occur.
5 tricks that criminals often do
The Ministry of Public Security has early determined that human trafficking is becoming increasingly complicated, and pointed out the sophisticated tricks of this criminal group.
Specifically, according to the Ministry of Public Security, human traffickers often take advantage of economic difficulties, gullibility, and lack of vigilance to deceive women in the northern mountainous provinces; take advantage of the development of information technology (through social networking sites Zalo, Facebook, Viber...) to get acquainted, fake love, and friendship to illegally broker foreign marriages.
Taking advantage of the regulations on organ donation, subjects come to meet victims of economic difficulties who need to sell kidneys, negotiate to buy at cheap prices, forge documents and seals, then sell them to patients at high prices.
The subjects take advantage of the lax management of families and schools; through social networking sites such as: Zalo, Facebook... to approach, invite, entice them to travel, work for high income, cheat many younger sisters in other provinces to sell to restaurants, karaoke bars or to organize prostitution activities, forced labor.

Taking advantage of Vietnam's opening policy and labor demand abroad, human traffickers have organized many cases of illegally sending people abroad to work. When going abroad, they confiscate personal documents, sell them to enforce labor, deprive their salaries or report to the authorities for inspection, arrest and deportation to the country or use force to control and demand ransom;
Brokers have appeared to create accounts online with fake names; using "money" as a target, through a network of attackers to localities, especially in mountainous areas, remote areas to lure and lure people who need to export labor at low costs, high salaries, simple procedures, organize exit to foreign countries, then sell to force labor.
In addition, the subjects also used social networks such as: Zalo, Facebook, used fake images, names, and addresses to make friends with women, girls, flirt with women, or people who wanted to find jobs abroad with high salaries, then promised and took them to cross the border to China, Laos, and Cambodia, then they forced them to sell as wives, sell them at prostitutes and card games in Cambodia and Myanmar.
In addition, the subjects set up websites on Facebook and Zalo to search for pregnant women, give birth unwantedly... then lured them to go abroad to give birth to sell; or also used the above trick to search for people with illnesses requiring organ transplants, brokers for people who want to sell organs to buy and sell tissues and body parts.
In addition to pointing out the tricks of this crime, the Ministry of Public Security also clearly states cases at risk of becoming victims of human trafficking crimes.
Accordingly, victims of human trafficking crimes are often concentrated in rural areas, especially remote areas, border areas ( Ethnic groups), most of them have difficult economic circumstances, are unemployed, have problems with affection, lack of social understanding and life skills, limited awareness, are gullible, believe or some young girls like to enjoy, play, compete, easily follow the subject's promises of stable jobs, high income or marry well-off foreigners, leading to being scammed out of money.
If they are unfortunately victims of human trafficking crimes, victims need to stay calm, keep information confidential so that the subjects do not suspect; find a way to report to the family, relatives or the nearest state agency or the local state agency about their location and place to be guided and helped in safe rescue.
