Implementing the Plan of the Ministry of Public Security on piloting the special, elite Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team to concretize the goals and tasks in Project No. 10 of the Ministry of Public Security on "Building a truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite, and modern Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force", on October 31, 2024, the Director of Hanoi City Police issued a Decision to pilot the establishment of 2 special, elite Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Teams under the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department.
Accordingly, 2 Police Teams, including: The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team, especially elite on land, belongs to the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team, Area 2, and the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team, especially elite underwater, belongs to the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team, especially elite on the river.
When established, the above 2 Police Teams became the spearhead combat force of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Force, handling complex and specific fires, incidents and accidents in Hanoi, neighboring localities in the economic zone (Hai Phong, Bac Ninh, Ha Nam, Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Quang Ninh, Thai Binh, Ninh Binh, Vinh Phuc, Nam Dinh) and localities with regulations on coordination with the City Police in firefighting and rescue; participating in international firefighting, rescue and rescue missions and other localities when requested.
Firefighting and rescue equipment for the two special teams are all the most modern and advanced equipment available today.
“The selected officers and soldiers all have qualities, abilities, qualifications, a sense of responsibility, and enthusiasm for their work; are equipped with modern, mobile equipment, and high combat capabilities to be qualified to handle fires, explosions, incidents, and accidents of a complex nature,” said Colonel Duong Duc Hai, Deputy Director of Hanoi City Police, at the launching ceremony.
Assigning tasks to the two elite Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Teams, Colonel Duong Duc Hai requested that immediately after the launching ceremony, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department develop and deploy a specialized training program and curriculum, and advanced technical and tactical training for officers and soldiers of the two Teams to ensure that they are suitable for practical combat conditions and equipped with equipment.
Immediately organize a combat readiness work, coordinate with the City Police Command Information Center to mobilize these two teams to participate in fire fighting and rescue according to the correct management and operation mechanism, demonstrating the bravery of the spearhead force.
Colonel Duong Duc Hai also requested the Heads and Commanders of the units to continue to coordinate with the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department to put the 2 Elite Teams into stable operation, to solve big and difficult tasks, worthy of being the spearhead force, the "iron fist" of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force of the Capital.
