On February 19, according to Lao Dong news source, up to now, 119 cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers (CCVCNLD) at equivalent departments, branches, and public service units under the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province have wished to retire early and quit their jobs, to serve the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus.
Many "forest protection" officials resign
Of which, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) of Binh Dinh province is the agency with the largest number of cadres and civil servants applying for early retirement, with 38 cases.
Mr. Nguyen Van Dung - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Binh Dinh province said that he had compiled cases of early retirement and sent them to the Department of Home Affairs to report to the Provincial People's Committee.

Most of the officials who have applied for leave are working in the forest rangers, including 6 people at the An Toan Specialized Forest Management Board and 12 people at the Binh Dinh Provincial Forest Protection Department.
Mr. Le Duc Sau - Head of Binh Dinh Forest Protection Department said that after merging the Department of Natural Resources and Environment with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Forest Protection Department did not merge with other units, but restructured in the direction of streamlining, reducing the payroll by 30%.
The Forest Protection Department has a total of 167 employees. Currently, the number of positions serving in the Forest Protection sector is 152 people, with a shortage of 15 positions.

"Some of my brothers are weak and old, so they cannot climb mountains to protect the forest. The forest rangers work is hard, often having to be in the forest, away from home. Therefore, many people wish to apply for early retirement to create conditions for the younger generation to work, ensuring more effective work," said Mr. Sau.
According to Mr. Sau, in the coming time, the forestry sector will have a hard time managing and protecting the forest. Because the forest area in Binh Dinh is very large, the forest rangers have to be on duty regularly, patrol, search and protect the forest right at the base.
