At 5:56 PM on May 12, the Fire and Rescue Team, Area 6 (under the Fire and Rescue Police Department of the Provincial Police) received a report about a drowning incident that occurred at Cooi Rua waterfall, Vi Xay village, Mang Den commune, Quang Ngai province.
Immediately after receiving the information, the unit urgently mobilized 6 officers and soldiers to coordinate with Mang Den Commune Police to quickly approach the scene and deploy search and rescue operations.
At the scene, dark conditions, limited light and fast flow caused many difficulties for functional forces in the search process.
With a spirit of urgency, responsibility and high determination, the Fire and Rescue Police force has synchronously deployed many professional measures, cordoning off areas suspected of being trapped by victims, and organizing diving formations to search.
At 20:05 on the same day, functional forces found the victim's body and handed it over to the family and local authorities to carry out procedures according to regulations.
