On June 28, Hue City Hydrometeorological Station issued warnings of thunderstorms, lightning, hail and localized heavy rain in the city.
According to the meteorological agency, at 5:40 PM, convective clouds developed strongly over Phong Thai, Huong Tra, Binh Dien communes and wards, part of Phong Dien and A Luoi 5, with a maximum radio response intensity of approximately 50 dBz.
In the next 1-2 hours, the areas of Phong Dien, Phong Thai, Huong Tra, Kim Tra, Binh Dien, Kim Long, Phu Bai and communes A Luoi 1 to A Luoi 5 are likely to experience scattered showers and thunderstorms. After that, the thunderstorm area may expand to neighboring localities.
The meteorological agency warns that during thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail, localized heavy rain and strong gusts of wind.
In addition, in the late afternoon of June 28, the coastal sea area of Hue City will also have showers and thunderstorms in some places. People and ships operating at sea need to be wary of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind at level 6-7.
The level of natural disaster risk due to thunderstorms, tornadoes, and lightning is warned at level 1.
