Information from the Mobile Police Command - Ministry of Public Security, on July 20, Battalion 2, Mobile Police Regiment No. 2 - Mobile Police Command (CSCĐ) mobilized nearly 100 officers and soldiers to march to Ngoc Chien commune (Son La province) to support people to overcome the consequences of floods.
After a prolonged heavy rain from the night of July 16 to July 18, many areas in Ngoc Chien commune were heavily damaged. According to local statistics, in the commune alone, 49 houses were affected; 59 landslide points on provincial road 109; about 21ha of crops were swept away and buried; 22 fish cages and more than 11 tons of fish were damaged; many traffic, irrigation, electricity and domestic water works were damaged. Total damage is estimated at nearly 10 billion VND.
Faced with the above situation, immediately after arriving in the area, nearly 100 officers and soldiers of Battalion 2 were divided into many working groups, coordinating with local Party committees, authorities and local forces to deploy mud and soil clearance, collect landslide soil and rocks, clear traffic routes, move property, clean houses and support people to overcome initial damage.
Senior Lieutenant Colonel Doan Van Ket - Battalion Commander of Battalion 2, Mobile Police Regiment No. 2 - said that immediately after receiving orders from superiors, the unit urgently organized forces, prepared sufficient vehicles and equipment to mobilize to the area.

Officers and soldiers are always ready to be present in the most difficult places to join local authorities to help people soon stabilize their lives and restore production," Senior Lieutenant Colonel Doan Van Ket said.
Directly participating in supporting people in many heavily affected areas, Captain Huu Hai - officer of Battalion 2, Mobile Police Regiment No. 2 - said that the losses of people in flood-affected areas make each officer and soldier in the working delegation feel sorry.
This is not the first time we have participated in helping people overcome the consequences of natural disasters. But every time we witness the scene of houses being buried, property being swept away, people's lives being turned upside down, everyone feels sorry for the people. Therefore, we always encourage each other to try our best, work with all responsibility to help people soon stabilize their lives," Captain Huu Hai shared.
Amidst villages still littered with mud and roads cut off, the image of mobile police officers and soldiers quietly shoveling each shovel of mud, clearing each block of soil and rock, transporting food and helping people save property has contributed to adding motivation for flood victims to gradually overcome difficulties, soon stabilize their lives and restore production.
