The will of the soldier
During the hot summer days, the atmosphere at the Hanoi National University Urban Area is even hotter due to the enthusiastic practice of the parade and parade groups preparing for the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 (A80). Among the rows of orders, female traffic police officers, female police officers on duty... stand out with their strong, steadfast beauty. They are not only excellent soldiers but also wives and mothers.
Comrade Le Thi Hanh, a female traffic police officer, received the assignment when her first child was nearly 5 years old and her second child was 3 years older than her, her honor always accompanied by concerns.
"When I was assigned to participate in the A80 parade, I had two children. I feel very honored and proud to be in the national team. However, there are also some concerns because the two children are still young, never been away from them for so long," comrade Hanh shared.
Missing children, combined with high intensity training in harsh weather lasting more than 4 months, is a big challenge not only for her but also for many other female soldiers.
Similarly, comrade Dinh Thi Anh, a female police officer on duty, is also a young wife. When he knew his wife had to participate in high-intensity training, her husband could not help but worry. But with will and determination, she received understanding and absolute support from the back.
Having just given birth, their newborn child has not yet been born
Not only female soldiers, many young male soldiers are also putting their own happiness aside to wholeheartedly and wholeheartedly focus on their tasks. The story of comrade Nguyen Hoang Nam, a male officer of the People's Public Security air force, moved many people. In March 2025, his wife gave birth to their first child, and two months later, he received the decision to leave for parade training.
Cases like comrade Nam are not uncommon. Understanding the feelings of soldiers, commanders of units always care and encourage them in a timely manner.
Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Tien Dong, a block manager, said: "In addition to hard study hours, we create conditions for you to organize cultural and entertainment programs. In particular, in cases like Comrade Nam, we always pay attention to asking questions, creating conditions to contact family, and ease the homesickness."
The silent sacrifice of the soldiers, from mothers who suppress their children's needs to young fathers who are away from home, are together creating a solid unity bloc, an iron will, determined to excellently complete the task in the upcoming parade and parade.
