In July 2025, Khanh Hoa Provincial Police issued a document responding to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism regarding a number of contents reported by press agencies.
The police response mentioned the case of forced demolition of a violating hotel project by Mr. To Van Huynh (Nguyen Thien Thuat Street, Nha Trang Ward).
Mr. To Van Huynh has recently accused Loc Tho ward and the construction unit of bringing all the scrap iron, copper pipes and many assets during the enforcement process to sell scrap iron.
Regarding this incident, Lao Dong Newspaper has reported in the past. In the response document, Colonel Nguyen Quan - Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police - informed about the incident.
Accordingly, the People's Committee of Nha Trang City (old) issued Conclusion No. 231 dated May 8, 2025, requiring the People's Committee of Loc Tho Ward to work with Thanh Binh Construction Service Development Company Limited - the enforcement construction unit to carry out the gathering and handover of assets and items (if any) after dismantling in accordance with the approved enforcement plan.
After that, Khanh Hoa Provincial Police transferred Mr. To Van Huynh's petition and related documents to Nha Trang Ward People's Committee, which is the competent unit, responsible for receiving and handling Mr. To Van Huynh's petition according to regulations.
Talking to Lao Dong, Mr. To Van Huynh said that since the conclusion of the inspection of Nha Trang City (old) until now, the family has not had any action from the government or the construction unit on handling the forced assets that were being sold.
Disciplining the Chairman of Loc Tho Ward (old)
Through handling complaints and denunciations, the authorities in Nha Trang have disciplined 1 individual and reviewed and drawn experience from 7 individuals.
In the list of individuals who were reviewed and drawn from experience, there were Mr. Le Minh Thuy - Chairman of Loc Tho Ward People's Committee and Mr. Dam Ngoc Vuong, a judicial officer - civil status of the ward.
Before the officials of Loc Tho ward were reviewed, Nha Trang city had a denunciation No. 1259 in October 2024.
In early 2025, Loc Tho ward continued to record the noisy incident during the process of handling forced property at the hotel of a citizen named To Van Huynh that Lao Dong Newspaper reported.
Chairman of Nha Trang City Tran Minh Chien (old) also directed the People's Committee of Loc Tho Ward to clarify personal responsibilities related to violations in the process of enforcing the construction of a hotel project beyond the floor at 9/2D Nguyen Thien Thuat, owned by Mr. To Van Huynh.
