On March 14, the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (Traffic Board) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the My Thuy intersection construction project (phase 3) in Thu Duc City.

The project items are divided into 3 investment phases. Up to now, the Traffic Department has completed a number of items in phase 1 and phase 2 of the project, put into use from the beginning of 2019 to 2021 such as: left turn underpass, a single bridge over 4 lanes on Ring Road 2 and Ky Ha 3 bridge - left branch, My Thuy 3 bridge with 6 lanes located between My Thuy 1 bridge and My Thuy 2 bridge.

The total land use area for the project to carry out compensation, support and resettlement is 16.6 hectares, with 195 households having to hand over the land to implement the project.

Immediately after the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee approved the additional investment in phase 3 to ensure the construction of the intersection in accordance with the complete scale approved by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, the Traffic Department urgently focused resources, coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport to speed up the appraisal of design documents, organize the selection of construction contractors, and supervision consultants to start construction today, said Mr. Hung.
