On the evening of August 8, a 7-seater car suddenly caught fire on Trung Trac street, the section along the Ca Ty riverbank, Phan Thiet ward (Lam Dong province).
At that time, people discovered a car with license plate 86H-53xx on fire, so they shouted for help. Due to strong winds, the fire quickly flared up strongly, and smoke covered the surrounding area.
Some cars parked near the scene were moved away to avoid the risk of fire spreading. This area has many shops, so people quickly took handheld fire extinguishers to approach and spray to extinguish the fire.
Functional forces of Phan Thiet ward pulled water hoses from the nearby park to support firefighting.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Team of Area 5 under the Fire and Rescue Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police dispatched officers and soldiers along with specialized fire trucks to the scene.
Functional forces sprayed water and completely controlled the fire, preventing it from rekindling. The car was blackened in many parts.
The cause of the fire is being clarified by functional agencies.
