Phu Yen - After more than 1 year of missing, people went hunting and discovered the remains of a female teacher in the forest in Xuan Tho 1 commune (Song Cau town).

On February 6, speaking with Lao Dong, the leader of the People's Committee of Song Cau town (Phu Yen) said that the locality had discovered and handed over the remains of a female teacher who went missing in the forest area in Xuan Tho 1 commune (Song Cau town) to her family for burial.

"People went hunting and discovered the remains of the missing female teacher. The locality has created all conditions for this family to bring the remains of this teacher back to his hometown for burial," he said.

Through investigation, the authorities determined that the remains belonged to Ms. V.T.H.L (born in 1990, residing in Binh Dinh province) - a Math teacher at Tay Son Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities (Binh Dinh).

Song Cau town authorities have transferred the case file to Binh Dinh Provincial Police for investigation according to their authority.

Previously, in November 2023, Ms. L left home to buy breakfast but did not return home. The family has posted many searches but has no results.

At the end of December 2023, a witness said that she saw Ms. L driving a motorbike to Xuan Tho 1 commune, then walking into the forest and not leaving.

After more than a year of being missing, people discovered the remains in the forest area of Xuan Tho 1 commune and reported them to the authorities.

Through the clothes and remaining belongings, the family confirmed that this was Ms. L.
