On the afternoon of September 18, the People's Committee of Trieu Phong commune, Quang Tri province, said that the locality had just issued a document requesting agencies, units and heads of villages in the area to coordinate in verifying information related to artifacts found during the process of gathering martyrs' remains in the Tri Buu area, Quang Tri ward.
Previously, Trieu Phong Commune People's Committee received a request to coordinate information verification from the Quang Tri Provincial Military Command. In the process of exhuming martyrs' remains, functional forces discovered many valuable personal artifacts in the search for information and identification.
Specifically, functional forces found an ID card in the name of Pham Thi Thuong, born February 6, 1932, native of Co Thanh village, Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri province. The card shows information that the father is Pham... Y, the mother is Nguyen Thi Vien. In addition, a pen with the words "Le Thi Chinh" was also discovered along with other artifacts.
Trieu Phong Commune People's Committee requests officials and people in the area to review and provide information related to cases with names, hometowns or characteristics suitable for the artifacts found.
According to functional forces, from August 10 to now, 27 sets of martyrs' remains have been collected in Quang Tri ward, including 5 mass graves. The remains were discovered at many locations in the Ancient Citadel, Tri Buu and surrounding areas.
Artifacts such as personal papers, pens and personal belongings found along with remains are an important source of information, helping to expand clues to determine the hometown, work unit and relatives of the martyrs who sacrificed.
