According to the latest report from the Repatriation Team of Martyrs' remains under the Ho Chi Minh City Command, on July 28, the search and repatriation work in the second location in the Le Thi Rieng Park campus continued to record important results.
Accordingly, the construction unit mobilized 03 excavators and proceeded to relocate more than 80m3 of soil to expand the exploration ditch. Each block of soil was exhumed and screened with utmost thoughtfulness and caution to ensure that all martyrs' remains discovered were brought out of the ground intact.
Specifically, the exhumation and repatriation force in the day collected 19 sets of martyrs' remains (including 10 single sets of remains and 01 collective set including 09 sets of remains) along with some accompanying artifacts.
As of the end of July 28, the repatriation force of the Ho Chi Minh City Command has discovered and repatriated a total of 144 sets of martyrs' remains.
In the coming time, the City Command will continue to direct forces to urgently expand the search scope. This process is carried out in close coordination with specialized agencies, closely following historical witnesses and related units to carry out the sacred gathering task, resolutely not missing any clues.
