On May 28, information from Thang Binh Commune People's Committee, Thanh Hoa province said that a body of a drowned baby girl was just discovered in the Nam canal of the Muc River.

According to initial information, at about 6:30 pm on May 27, at the Nam Muc canal (Cong Cao area, Tho Thuong village, Thang Binh commune), people were horrified to discover the body of a baby girl floating in the water and stuck at a landmark.
Through verification, the victim is L.P. D. L (born in 2018, residing in Hung Son village, Yen Tho commune, Thanh Hoa province). Previously, on May 27, the child went to his grandmother's house in Van Thanh village, Thang Binh commune to play, after which a painful incident occurred.
After receiving the information, Thang Binh Commune Police coordinated with the People's Procuracy of Region 2 and the family to verify, investigate, and clarify the cause of death of the baby.
The results determined that the baby died from drowning, there were no signs of crime related to the incident.
After completing the procedures, functional agencies handed over the baby girl's body to her family for burial according to local customs.
