Newborn baby's body found at a landfill in Thanh Hoa

Thanh Hoa - While working, an excavator driver was shocked to discover the body of a newborn baby in a landfill.

On December 22, information from Dong Son District Police, Thanh Hoa Province said that the body of a newborn baby girl had just been discovered at a garbage dump.

According to initial information, at around 9:00 a.m. on December 21, Mr. N.T.V (52 years old, residing in Dong Tho ward, Thanh Hoa city) was driving an excavator, leveling trash at gathering site No. 3, Dong Nam landfill (in Dong Nam commune, Dong Son district) when he was shocked to discover the body of a newborn baby girl.

The incident was immediately reported to the authorities by Mr. V. Upon receiving the information, Dong Son District Police coordinated with Thanh Hoa Provincial Police and relevant units to examine the scene, perform an autopsy and investigate the cause of the incident.

According to the police, after working with relevant people, extracting the security camera system showed that between 4am and 9am on December 21, there were 23 garbage trucks entering to dump garbage. Of these, 12 trucks were dumping garbage in compartment number 1, and 11 trucks were dumping garbage in compartments number 3 and number 4. These trucks may be related to transporting the body of the newborn baby.

The case is still under investigation.
