Around 12 noon on 23.5, people discovered a male body under the rapids in Bai Bac, Son Tra peninsula, Da Nang. The body is in the process of decomposition and unknown identity. The terrain is rugged, 40m deeper than the taluy edges, making it difficult to approach the scene.
The Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Group of Son Tra District, in collaboration with the militia, the Son Tra peninsula management board and Da Nang tourist beaches, had to be equipped with specialized wires, rescue stretchers, personal safety equipment and moving nearly 1km of rugged slope to the scene. The rescue team must clear the shrubs, pave the way and use the dedicated pulley system to reach the body.
After completing the scene examination, the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police force continued to use the pulley system to bring the body from the abyss. At about 15 hours of the same day, the body was handed over to the authorities to continue verifying, clarifying the identity and investigating the cause of death.
