Nghe An - Vice Chairman of Phung Thanh Vinh Provincial People's Committee presented 2 billion VND to support people in flooded areas.

On July 27, Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Phung Thanh Vinh led a working group to conduct a field inspection and assess the damage caused by storm No. 3 in the communes of the West of Nghe An, where many localities suffered heavy damage after floods.

Accompanying him were leaders of the departments: Agriculture and Environment, Industry and Trade, Construction, Ethnic Minorities and Religions and specialized departments. The delegation directly inspected the regulation of reservoirs at Ban Ve Hydropower Plant, a point that plays an important role in coordinating floods for the downstream area.

In Yen Na, Luong Minh, Tam Thai, Tuong Duong and Tam Quang communes, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visited and encouraged the people who suffered losses. He shared the difficulties and losses of the people, and at the same time requested local authorities to urgently overcome the consequences of natural disasters, especially ensuring food, accommodation and essential necessities for households in flooded areas.

In order to support people to overcome immediate difficulties, the Mobilization Committee of the Fund for the Poor and Relief of Nghe An province has donated 2 billion VND to support overcoming the consequences of floods.
