On July 26, on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27,47 - July 27, 2025), the working delegation led by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee - visited, encouraged and presented gifts to units and families of meritorious people in Con Dao district.
The delegation also included Ms. Truong My Hoa - former Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha - former Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; and leaders of departments and branches in Ho Chi Minh City.
On July 26, the delegation visited the Artillery Company 10; Rada PK32 Station; Rada Information Processing Station and High-Tech Information in Con Dao Special Zone.
At the destinations, the delegation visited health and life; acknowledged and commended the spirit of overcoming difficulties and the strong will of the forces in maintaining security and defense, ensuring people's lives and contributing to the socio-economic development of the frontline land of the Fatherland.
At the same time, the working delegation led by Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee - visited and encouraged the Defense Command of Area 6 - Con Dao Special Zone; Con Dao Special Zone Police; and the mother of martyr Vo Thi Thanh in Con Dao district.
The delegation visited and encouraged the forces; kindly visited the health and life of martyr Vo Thi Thanh's mother, expressing deep gratitude for the sacrifices and losses of generations of ancestors for the independence and freedom of the nation.
At the same time, giving meaningful and warm gifts, demonstrating the responsibility and ethics of "remembering the source of water when drinking" of the Party Committee, government and people of Ho Chi Minh City to the martyrs' families living in Con Dao; forces working in the special zone.
On this occasion, other working groups led by Mr. Nguyen Van Tho - Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy - Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Mr. Dang Minh Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee - also visited, encouraged and presented gifts to express gratitude to the forces; families of war invalids and martyrs in Con Dao district.
