On November 23, the Government Office issued a notice conveying the direction of Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung after the Deputy Prime Minister inspected the situation of floods, landslides, and remedial work in Lam Dong province.
Recently, the Central and Central Highlands regions have suffered heavy damage due to natural disasters and consecutive floods. Floods have occurred in many places.

In Lam Dong province, this flood has had a complicated and prolonged development, beyond the response capacity of many areas, causing great damage.
On behalf of the Government and the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung expressed his deep condolences to the families of those who died, were injured, had their houses collapsed, and had their property damaged by floods.
Regarding the tasks of responding and handling after natural disasters, the Deputy Prime Minister requested the People's Committee of Lam Dong province to closely monitor weather developments, update forecast information, warn of heavy rain, flash floods, and landslides. In particular, do not be subjective because the weather forecast continues to be complicated, with a high risk of landslides.
The locality reviewed all points at risk of landslides, organized the evacuation of people from areas at risk of insecurity, absolutely not allowing any human casualties. At the same time, handle and quickly overcome landslides, ensuring traffic safety. Strive to open the initial route for Mimosa Pass and Prenn Pass within no more than 10 days.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested Lam Dong province to complete damage statistics, develop support plans for people, and ensure that the support level is not lower than the central policy for collapsed and severely damaged houses.
Lam Dong province urgently allocates and disburses funds supported by the Central Government to quickly overcome the consequences of floods.
Priority should be given to supporting families with human losses, treating the injured, repairing and rebuilding houses for people, repairing educational and medical facilities, traffic works, and irrigation works.
Build a resettlement area for people in the area behind the spillway affected by flood discharge from Da Nhim Hydropower Plant; restore agricultural production, support livelihoods for affected households.

For households in the area immediately behind the Da Nhim Hydropower Plant discharge gate that suffered damage due to flood discharge, the Deputy Prime Minister requested the Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee to direct the owner of Da Nhim Hydropower Plant to be responsible for participating in providing maximum support to affected households.
Lam Dong province needs to proactively review, develop and implement a plan to relocate people behind the hydropower discharge gate to a safe resettlement area. Clearly identify the location, essential infrastructure needs and implementation progress.
The relocation of people must be implemented urgently, cautiously, and decisively, not allowing the continued existence of dangerous residential areas right at the spillway.
Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung requested Lam Dong province to mobilize local forces to coordinate with support forces from Military Region 7 to deploy environmental sanitation after floods, collect waste, mud, and treat water resources.
