On November 21, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung inspected and visited people in the flooded areas of D'ran commune; at the same time, inspected the actual subsidence and landslides on the two passes of Prenn and Mimosa (National Highway 20) - the gateway to Da Lat (Lam Dong).
Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi said that from November 17 to 21, floods have killed 4 people, affected more than 1,130 households, affected 1,640 hectares of crops, mainly crops, damaged, 33 large and small landslides are concentrated mainly on major traffic routes.

In which, many important roads were eroded such as Prenn Pass and Mimosa Pass, causing traffic disruption. The preliminary estimated damage is more than 1,000 billion VND.
Lam Dong province proposed that the Central Government consider and support the locality with about 600 billion VND, of which 200 billion VND will be used to overcome the consequences of houses and agricultural production and 400 billion VND will be used to repair and overcome vulnerable infrastructure (such as embankments to prevent landslides on rivers and streams, clear flood drainage flows, repair damaged bridges and roads, etc.). In addition, Lam Dong province also proposed to support 1,000 tons of rice to promptly stabilize people's lives.

At the evacuation point of D'ran commune, the Deputy Prime Minister visited the health and lives of the people, shared the difficulties and encouraged them to soon stabilize their spirit to overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives after floods.
The Deputy Prime Minister hopes that people will remain calm, united, and trust in the support of the Party, State, local authorities, and frontline forces that are staying in the area day and night to help people overcome dangerous times.
The Deputy Prime Minister suggested that people absolutely follow the instructions of the authorities and do not return home without a safety announcement.

At the same time, it is required that agencies and units focus resources on supporting people, ensuring necessities, and health care, especially paying attention to poor households, disadvantaged families, the elderly and children.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested authorities at all levels and armed forces to focus on implementing social security work; armed forces to focus on supporting people to overcome the consequences of floods, ensure a living environment, and soon stabilize people's lives.

After inspecting the actual Prenn and Mimosa pass routes, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung requested the authorities and construction units to focus all resources and deploy emergency solutions to quickly overcome the landslides, ensuring the safe route as soon as possible.

Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung requested the mobilization of maximum forces to urgently handle landslides on two important passes. Thereby, ensuring smooth traffic to serve people and tourists, especially when Da Lat enters the peak tourism season at the end of the year.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested units to closely monitor weather developments, maintain warnings and guide safe traffic.

In the long term, specialized agencies need to complete a comprehensive handling plan, ensuring the sustainability of the two passes, limiting the risk of landslides.
Currently, the authorities are on duty 24/7 continuing to dredge soil and rocks, reinforce the slope and divert traffic to maintain traffic through the area.
On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung presented 200 billion VND in Government support to help Lam Dong province overcome the consequences of floods; at the same time, presented support to many affected households in D'ran commune.
