On August 2, Politburo Member, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc attended the 2026 All People's Day for National Security Protection (ANTQ) in Phu Quoc special zone, An Giang province.
Before the ceremony, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc and the working delegation respectfully offered flowers and incense at the Statue and Memorial House of President Ho Chi Minh.
After many years of implementation, the movement "All people protect national security" has become an important foundation in the people's security posture, contributing to mobilizing the strength of the entire political system and the whole society to participate in crime prevention and control, maintaining peace from the grassroots level. Especially in Phu Quoc special zone, many self-management models on security and order, safe inter-family groups, security cameras, people's self-management groups... have been effective, contributing to building a stable area, creating a safe environment to serve economic development, tourism and attract investment.
Speaking to direct at the Festival, Politburo Member, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc acknowledged and praised the outstanding results of the Party Committee, government, Police force and people of An Giang province in building the "All people protect national security" movement. At the same time, he requested all levels and sectors to continue to promote the strength of the great national unity bloc, build a people's security posture associated with an increasingly solid all-people national defense posture, proactively prevent and effectively combat crimes and risks affecting security and order right from the grassroots level.
Speaking at the Festival, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung affirmed that the province will seriously absorb all the profound and comprehensive directions of the Standing Deputy Prime Minister and will concretize them into tasks and solutions to effectively implement in the coming time.
Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee emphasized that in the first 6 months of 2026, the province's socio-economy continued to develop positively, with a growth rate of 8.83%, political security and social order and safety were maintained, and the great national unity bloc was increasingly consolidated. These results have the important contribution of the "All people protect national security" movement, in which Phu Quoc special zone is a locality with many new, creative, effective, and typical ways of doing things in the province.
To continue to improve the quality of the movement in the coming time, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested Party committees, authorities, departments, branches and the Police force to promote the core role in advising on the effective implementation of the Party and State's guidelines; build and replicate models suitable to reality; link the "All people protect national security" movement with patriotic emulation movements, mass mobilization work, and social security programs; promote the subjective role of the People in building a solid people's security posture; and at the same time continue to promote studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style.
For Phu Quoc special zone, maintain security and order, promote urban embellishment, green transformation, contributing to the successful APEC 2027 Conference and successfully implementing the socio-economic development goals of the province.
On this occasion, many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the "All people protect national security" movement were commended and rewarded.
Also at the program, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc presented gifts from the Central Steering Committee for implementing the "All people protect national security" movement to localities organizing the 2026 Festival and presented gifts to policy families in the Phu Quoc special zone.
