Vocational training close to business needs
Job creation in Phu Tho is being implemented in the direction of linking training with human resource needs.
Vocational education institutions strengthen coordination with businesses to adjust programs, improve practical skills and expand job opportunities for learners.
At Phu Tho Vocational College, the school identifies cooperation with businesses as one of the key tasks in training.
Currently, the school is linked with more than 50 businesses inside and outside the province. The units not only receive students for internships but also participate in building programs, teaching, practical guidance and skills assessment.
According to Mr. Luong Chi Cuong - Principal of Phu Tho Vocational College, each year the school trains from 1,000 - 2,000 students in 31 occupations.
Many training majors focus on market human resources groups that are in need such as Automotive Technology, Welding, Metal Cutting, Industrial Electricity, Civil Electronics, Information Technology, Hotel Management, Fashion Garment, Veterinary, Animal Husbandry, Crop Production and Plant Protection, Food Processing Techniques.
According to the school, more than 90% of students after graduation have stable jobs. A part is received by businesses and works long-term, gradually taking on positions in production and management.
The deep participation of businesses in the training process helps schools update the actual requirements of the labor market. Learners have access to the working environment from when they are still in school, thereby narrowing the gap between the knowledge they are trained in and the requirements of the job.
Career guidance activities have also been expanded to high schools, vocational education centers - continuing education. Since the beginning of the year, the whole province has organized 81 job and vocational training counseling conferences.
Programs provide information about training majors, recruitment needs and job opportunities. Through this, students and workers have more basis for choosing a career, while management agencies, training institutions and businesses are more convenient in coordinating human resource supply.
Mr. Nguyen The Hung - Director of Phu Tho Employment Service Center, the unit has coordinated with agencies and units to implement training programs and supply human resources according to business needs.
The center works with 13 businesses with large recruitment needs and 6 universities and colleges to strengthen training links and labor supply.
Training according to recruitment needs creates more job opportunities for learners after completing the program. For businesses, this approach contributes to reducing the gap between job requirements and workers' skills.

Strengthening job connection
Along with vocational training, Phu Tho expands connection channels for workers to access businesses and find suitable jobs.
In 2026, the province sets a target to create jobs for 51,400 workers. Of which, 47,000 people will be employed domestically and 4,400 people will go to work abroad for a fixed term under contract.
According to data provided by the Phu Tho Employment Service Center, by September 2026, the unit organized 12 job transaction sessions, including 4 sessions at the center and 8 mobile sessions.
The trading sessions attracted 3,546 participants. Among them, the sessions at the center had 801 participants, and the mobile session attracted 2,745 participants.
There were 99 turns of businesses participating in recruitment, including 43 turns at the center and 56 turns at mobile sessions.
In August 2026 alone, Phu Tho Employment Service Center (facility 1) organized a job transaction session with 200 workers participating. In Van Son commune, the mobile transaction session attracted more than 300 workers from villages in the area.
These activities create more direct connection channels between job seekers and businesses. Instead of just accessing recruitment information through online platforms, workers can directly exchange information with recruiters about positions, job requirements and job opportunities.
Phu Tho also expands job opportunities abroad under contracts. One of the programs being implemented is sending workers to work seasonally in the agricultural sector in Chungcheongnam province, South Korea.
In 2026, the whole province will have about 80 workers going abroad to work in Korea. There are 345 people registered to participate in the program, of which 106 people have completed application review and are ready to participate in direct interviews with the Korean side.
Along with connecting recruitment, the province is implementing credit capital to support job creation. In the first 6 months of the year, 11,736 workers were lent capital to solve domestic employment, expand and develop production, business and go to work abroad, with a total amount of more than 1,100 billion VND.
The domestic job creation capital alone supports 11,675 workers, with a total amount of nearly 1,097 billion VND. This resource creates conditions for people to invest in production, business and proactively create livelihoods.
In the last months of the year, Phu Tho continues to focus on improving the efficiency of labor supply and demand connection, vocational training according to business needs, updating market information, implementing credit policies and expanding the market to send workers to work abroad.
Combining vocational training with recruitment connection creates more job opportunities for workers. The participation of businesses, vocational education institutions and employment service units also helps the training process closely follow practical requirements.
With the goal of creating jobs for 51,400 workers in 2026, Phu Tho continues to focus on training quality, effective supply-demand connection and diversification of job choices for domestic and foreign workers.
