On the morning of September 23, leaders of Dam Rong 2 Commune People's Committee (Lam Dong) confirmed that a house fire had just occurred in the area, killing 3 mothers and children. The cause of the incident is being investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
According to information from Dam Rong 2 Commune People's Committee, the fire occurred in the early morning of September 22nd in Sub-area 181, Lieng Hung village.
Immediately after receiving the news, the Commune People's Committee directed the Commune Police to report to the Provincial Police, deploy forces to protect the scene, and coordinate to serve the examination, investigation and verification of the case.
The fire completely burned down a temporary wooden house with a corrugated iron roof and an area of about 50m2. Three people in the family died, including Ms. V.T. S (born 1994, residing in the locality) and two children, V.T. V (born 2024) and H.V. Q (born 2026).
According to local authorities, the area where the fire occurred is located in a place where traffic is difficult and there is no phone signal.
This caused many obstacles to information, communication and deployment of forces to the scene.
Dam Rong 2 Commune People's Committee has sent leaders to visit, share condolences and encourage the families of the victims.
Initially, the locality supported 20 million VND for the family to take care of the funeral; and at the same time continued to review and propose support to overcome the consequences according to regulations.
Currently, Dam Rong 2 Commune Police are coordinating with Lam Dong Provincial Police to examine the scene, investigate, and verify the cause of the fire.
