On August 15, the Hai Duong Ward Party Committee (Hai Phong City) held the 1st Congress of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term. This is an important political event, marking a new step in the development of Party building and the local political system, while affirming the determination to innovate and orient the comprehensive development strategy of the ward in the coming period.
Hai Duong ward was established on the basis of merging 4 wards: Tran Hung Dao, Quang Trung, Nhi Chau and Ngoc Chau, with an area of 6.51 km2 and a population of 51,522 people.
The Congress determined the motto of action: "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", striving to become a civilized urban area with synchronous infrastructure, comprehensive economic development, and improved people's lives by 2030.
The Congress set out 26 development targets, 3 breakthrough tasks, 3 key projects and works including: Promoting administrative reform associated with digital transformation; building e-government, digital government and digital economy; Adjusting planning, rebuilding key projects associated with preserving historical and cultural values; Training and fostering high-quality human resources to meet development requirements in the new period.
Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Chuyen - Head of the Hai Phong City Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved by the Party Committee and People of the ward in the past term.
The Head of the Hai Phong City Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee proposed that the Hai Duong Ward Party Committee orient the development with strategic vision, modern socio-economic planning, strengthen regional linkages, promote industrial - service - tourism advantages; promote the digital economy, green economy, preserve culture - history; build a "Drug-free" ward, maintain security, order and apply transparent and effective digital governance, serving people and businesses well.
The Congress and the Congress announced the decision of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee to appoint the Hai Duong Ward Party Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 33 members, of which the Standing Committee has 11 members. Mr. Pham Cong Quan, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Ward People's Council for the 2020-2025 term, was appointed to hold the position of Ward Party Secretary for the 2025-2030 term.
Comrades Nguyen Thi Ha Phuong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Pham Thi Thanh Van - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Ward People's Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term, were appointed to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Ward Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term.
