Wards and communes in Ho Chi Minh City innovate methods of doing things, making it convenient for people

After the merger of administrative units, wards and communes in Ho Chi Minh City quickly operated stably. Despite some initial difficulties, administrative procedures are still resolved smoothly, creating satisfaction for people.

Arrange the dossier receiving counter according to professional field

According to Mr. Tran Quang Tung - Deputy Director of the Tan Binh Ward Public Administration Service Center, since its operation, thousands of records have been received and resolved for people.

"mainly, it is the certification documents, medical records, real estate documents... We all try to resolve them quickly within the day for the people," said Mr. Tung.

The representative of Tan Binh ward also said that during the practical implementation process, some difficulties still arose.

For example, the VNeID platform software system has updated the new administrative address, while the Ministry of Justice's software still uses old data, causing information unsynchronization. This directly affects the process of receiving and processing documents, especially procedures for extracting civil status, registering marriage, confirming marriage status... However, the ward's officials have also tried to overcome limitations to resolve procedures for people.

After nearly 15 minutes of waiting to complete the business registration documents, Ms. Nguyen Tran Minh Anh (Vinh Loc ward) excitedly left, not expecting that administrative procedures would be resolved so quickly.

"I keep worrying about arranging, the staff has many tasks so they have to wait a long time, but it turns out to be very quick, the staff responds very carefully to any questions," said Ms. Anh.

Mr. Huynh Cao Cuong, Secretary of the Vinh Loc Commune Party Committee, said that after a period of operating under the 2-level government model, the procedures that people have come to handle the most are medical examination, signature certification and business license registration. To facilitate operation, the commune has renovated its headquarters, arranged 9 records receiving counters for each field of expertise, along with separate counters for insurance, tax consultation... to help people quickly complete procedures...

Powering up the entire system, people are satisfied

Ms. Huynh Thi Thanh, born in 1962, residing in Vinh Loc A commune, went to the Binh Tan Ward Public Administration Service Center to ask for confirmation that she was a poor family. Because her actual residence is no longer in the commune, her file cannot be resolved here. She said that at first she was quite worried, but when she came to work, she felt reassured by the enthusiastic support of the receptionist.

Mr. Nguyen Van Su, Chairman of Binh Tan Ward People's Committee, said that up to this point, all activities in the ward have stabilized, and administrative procedures have been resolved smoothly.

Although the workload has increased, according to Mr. Su, thanks to careful preparation in advance, cadres and civil servants have quickly adapted to the new model.

According to the report of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs, over the past 10 days, the operation of Public Administration Service Centers in wards and communes has initially recorded positive signals, people and businesses are satisfied with the service of the team of cadres and civil servants.

The working headquarters of the new units will be reviewed and rearranged in accordance with the scale of the organization. Important areas such as economy, culture - society, land... are basically maintained stability. The work of receiving and handling administrative procedures has been implemented promptly, ensuring that people are not interrupted. With a high sense of responsibility, the entire political system of Ho Chi Minh City is determined to be unanimous and unified in applying the direction of the Politburo, the Secretariat and the leadership of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to promptly resolve the issue, adapting to the maximum to reality.
