Quang Binh - The locality is aiming to develop sustainable tourism, making tourism one of the key industries in development.

In 2024, Quang Binh tourism industry achieved many positive results thanks to the direction of the Department of Tourism leaders and close coordination with tourism units and businesses inside and outside the province.

Highlights from breakthrough strategies

Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Ms. Bui Thi Thanh Thuy - Director of Quang Binh Tourism Promotion Information Center - said that the Center has actively utilized digital technology, upgraded the website interface and expanded online promotion channels. Notably, the fanpage "Quangbinh Tourism" with more than 2 million visits and 18,000 interactions, has become an effective bridge between tourists and destinations in the province. In addition, livestream events such as "Welcoming the New Year 2025" within the framework of Dong Hoi Cultural Tourism Week have created a strong impression, attracting widespread attention from the public.

Tourism stimulus programs are also being strongly implemented through cooperation with central provinces, such as Hue City, Da Nang, Quang Nam and Quang Tri.

Quang Binh continues to affirm its position with typical tourism products such as cave exploration in Phong Nha - Ke Bang, ecological experiences at OZO Park, and journeys to learn about the culture of the Chut ethnic group. In particular, the organization of fireworks displays, culinary festivals, and community tourism seminars at Bang hot spring have created memorable experiences for visitors.

In addition, prominent tourist attractions such as Thien Duong Cave, Nhat Le Beach, and Bao Ninh are constantly being invested in and upgraded to meet the needs of domestic and international visitors.

Promoting the tourism industry to break through

In 2025, Quang Binh sets strategic goals to maintain development momentum and promote the tourism industry to make a breakthrough.

The Tourism Promotion Information Center will continue to upgrade the Quang Binh tourism website, develop content on social media platforms and integrate 3D/360 Map technology to introduce destinations in detail. At the same time, promotion through international channels such as travel magazines and international websites will also be focused on, in order to expand the reach of international visitors.

Phong Nha - Ke Bang, a World Natural Heritage, will be the focus of the development plan. In addition, cultural preservation and community tourism development projects in Thuong Hoa commune (Minh Hoa district) will be implemented to create jobs and increase income for local people.

Tourism links with the Central provinces will continue to be promoted, especially strategic cooperation within the Quang Binh - Quang Tri - Thua Thien Hue - Da Nang - Quang Nam bloc. In the international market, Quang Binh will coordinate with partners in Laos and Thailand to develop inter-national tourism routes. The reception of famtrip and presstrip delegations is organized regularly to promote the image of Quang Binh and connect with major travel agencies.

The Director of the Tourism Promotion Information Center informed that it will invest in human resource training, especially courses on senior management, leadership skills...

Despite its many successes, Quang Binh still faces a number of difficulties. Tourism infrastructure, especially transportation, has yet to meet demand. Promotion in the international market is still limited, requiring stronger investment.

Quang Binh Tourism Promotion Information Center not only focuses on professional promotional activities but also encourages each citizen to become a tourism ambassador. The spirit of hospitality, friendliness and professionalism in service will be the key to creating sustainable attraction for Quang Binh destination.
