On June 25, the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee said that the whole province currently has 1,621 working headquarters, of which the provincial-level block has 306 headquarters; the district, commune, ward and town block has 1,315 headquarters.
After merging administrative units, the province retained 1,137 facilities to continue using as headquarters of the new commune-level People's Committee; 66 facilities were arranged according to other plans; the remaining 112 headquarters were identified as redundant and needed to be handled.
With 66 headquarters no longer in use for the People's Committees at the commune level, the province has transferred them to sectors along the central and local levels as working headquarters such as the commune police, regional courts, regional prosecutor's offices, statistical teams, policy banks, etc.
As for surplus headquarters, localities are developing a reorganization plan, prioritizing the conversion of community service functions such as medical facilities, schools, libraries, parks, cultural and sports institutions.
Some headquarters with favorable locations will be handed over to the Provincial Land Fund Development Center for commercial management and exploitation, ensuring effective use of public assets.
