According to the representative of Sam Son City, Thanh Hoa Province, after the dissolvement of the district-level and the rearrangement of the commune-level administrative unit, the headquarters of Sam Son City will be used as the working place of the Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee of Sam Son Ward.
The old Quang Minh commune headquarters will be used as the headquarters of the Nam Sam Son Ward Party Committee; while the old Dai Hung commune headquarters will be used as the headquarters of the Nam Sam Son Ward People's Committee.
It is known that the headquarters of the Sam Son City Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee started construction in April 2021, with a total cost of 263 billion VND from the city budget. The project investor is the People's Committee of Sam Son City.
The project is built on an area of 2.3 hectares in Quang Chau ward, Sam Son city, with two frontages adjacent to the coastal road and National Highway 47. By early 2024, the project was completed and put into use. The total construction floor area is over 14,000m2, including 3 blocks of houses. In which, the apartment building is 7 floors high and 1 ground floor; the hall has a capacity of more than 400 seats.
According to the Resolution on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Thanh Hoa province, after implementing the 2-level local government model, Sam Son city will have 2 wards left, including: Sam Son ward and Nam Sam Son ward.
Sam Son ward was established on the basis of merging the wards: Bac Son, Quang Tien, Quang Cu, Trung Son, Truong Son, Quang Chau and Quang Tho.
Nam Sam Son ward was established on the basis of merging Quang Vinh ward and Quang Minh, Dai Hung, Quang Giao communes.
