Strictly check essential goods
On January 2, information from the People's Committee of Quang Binh province said that it is forecasted that in 2025, there will be many unpredictable fluctuations in the world market due to the impact of political conflicts, natural disasters, epidemics and the increasing tendency of countries to protect domestic markets, which will affect the supply and demand of goods, causing prices to fluctuate complicatedly.
To strengthen the management, operation and stabilization of market prices in the province during the Lunar New Year 2025, the Provincial People's Committee requests departments, branches, units and localities to closely monitor the economic - political situation and inflation, update the supply and demand situation, domestic market prices to promptly advise on measures to manage, operate and stabilize market prices, especially before, during and after Tet.
Quang Binh province assigned the Department of Finance to preside over and coordinate with departments, branches and sectors to proactively advise the Provincial People's Committee to strengthen management, operation and price stabilization in the area.
Actively monitor the developments in supply and demand, market prices in the area before, during and after Tet, especially for essential goods and services that directly serve people's needs such as food, fresh food, tourism services, sightseeing, passenger transport services, etc.
Coordinate with relevant departments, branches, sectors and units to promote price posting and declaration in the area; strengthen inspection and supervision of compliance with legal regulations on prices, taxes, fees and charges in the area; strictly handle violations according to regulations.
Coordinate with functional units to strictly, thoroughly and effectively implement the fight against smuggling, counterfeit goods and trade fraud; combat revenue loss, tax fraud, reduce tax arrears; focus on managing state budget expenditures to ensure strictness, efficiency, thrift and compliance with regulations.
Prevent commercial fraud
The Customs Department strengthens risk management, inspection, supervision, and customs control, promptly detects, prevents, arrests, and handles violations; presides over and coordinates with relevant units to promote activities to prevent smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods at key routes and areas under the management of the unit.
The Tax Department directs the review and grasp of the subjects and sources of budget revenue in the area, manages tax declaration and payment of enterprises, organizations and individuals to collect correctly, fully and promptly taxes, fees, charges and other revenues to the state budget; strictly manages tax refunds, ensuring the right subjects and the right regulations, strengthens inspection, detection and prevention of tax evasion, tax fraud, tax arrears and transfer pricing.
Ms. Hoai Thu (in Dong Hoi City) said that to prepare for Tet, she has started shopping from now. Up to now, the market prices are quite stable, items such as food and clothes are still in the same price range as she bought 2 months ago.
According to Ms. Thu, the Provincial People's Committee's strengthening of price stabilization management at the end of the year helps people feel more secure in the shopping process.
