It is expected that after the merger of Quang Nam province and Da Nang city to establish a new administrative unit (ADU) - named Da Nang city, a total of 3,289 part-time workers at the commune level will retire from August 1, 2025, according to the streamlining policy (of which more than 2,600 people in Quang Nam will).
In addition, there are hundreds of civil servants, public employees, and workers who quit their jobs or retired early due to organizational restructuring and administrative procedures.
On June 9, the Department of Home Affairs of Quang Nam province said that in parallel with the development of a policy to support non-professional cadres at the commune level to quit their jobs, the province has issued a document requesting departments, branches and People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to urgently survey the employment needs of subjects subject to streamlining, especially non-professional workers at the commune level, to have appropriate support plans.
The Department recommends that localities increase information, propaganda, and encourage workers to proactively seek or create jobs for themselves. At the same time, take advantage of official recruitment channels such as: Quang Nam Provincial Job Portal: vieclamquangnam.gov.vn, job exchanges inside and outside the province, and businesses with the function of sending workers to work abroad under contracts.
The Department of Home Affairs also requires reporting the results of the job search before June 17, 2025, to serve as a basis for connecting with businesses and recruiting units in the transition period.
The career reorientation and job introduction support aims to help cadres who quit their jobs early integrate and adapt to the market sustainably.
