Bringing Da Nang officials to Quang Nam to work
According to the report of the Department of Finance of Quang Nam province, the whole province currently has 526 houses and land offices under the provincial level. After merging with Da Nang City, there are an estimated 45 establishments to be redundant, while nearly 480 offices are still necessary to maintain the working apparatus of local agencies and units.

Quang Nam province has planned to effectively exploit these headquarters to long-term serve the new administrative apparatus - including a plan to welcome officials from Da Nang to work in Tam Ky, Quang Nam.
To date, about 100 cadres, civil servants and workers of Party agencies, the Fatherland Front and provincial-level socio-political organizations have registered to continue working in Tam Ky City.
In addition to this number, many cadres from Da Nang City will be assigned to work in Quang Nam, especially in specific fields such as ethnicity, religion, agriculture, farming - fields that need close coordination with localities with complex terrain and diverse populations such as Quang Nam.

Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Thai Binh commented that not all Quang Nam officials go to Da Nang to work, in the spirit of working in 2 places: "It is completely reasonable to arrange a part of the staff from Da Nang to work in Tam Ky, in order to maintain the effectiveness of the apparatus in a large locality, often affected by natural disasters, with a large number of ethnic minorities living there".
Make the most of public assets
Faced with the fact that many provincial headquarters in Tam Ky will fall into a state of "surplus and shortage", Quang Nam province has developed a specific handling plan to avoid waste. In particular, the headquarters of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at 14 Tran Phu - which has just been invested in modern repairs - will continue to be used for a long time by about 80 cadres and may be arranged with 16 other associations with similar functions.
Along with that, many surplus headquarters after the merger will be converted to serve education, healthcare, community culture or re-planned to develop services - trade. Areas such as Nguyen Chi Thanh Street, National Highway 1 and main roads in Tam Ky are identified as priority to attract investment, creating new economic momentum after the merger.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province Le Van Dung said that redundant headquarters will be prioritized for being arranged as headquarters for commune-level administrative units (new), educational institutions or public services. The offices will be concentrated in areas to facilitate operations and serve people.
With an area 11 times larger than Da Nang City, with terrain stretching from mountain to sea, Quang Nam after the merger still needs to maintain on-site administrative units to avoid "breaking" the operating stage.
Welcoming Da Nang officials to work in Tam Ky not only demonstrates the spirit of regional solidarity in the new government apparatus, but also opens a more flexible and effective period of administrative - urban development.
