Instead of naming the new communes by taking the district name and adding the order, Quang Ngai will name the new communes according to the place name and traditional culture of the locality.

On April 23, at the meeting of the Executive Committee of Mo Duc District Party Committee, the delegates discussed and agreed on the names of new commune -level administrative units after the merger. Accordingly, the district does not use the plan to name by the same number as previously expected (Mo Duc 1, Mo Duc 2, Duc Tan, Mo Duc 3), but instead are the names associated with traditional places and culture. Accordingly, the names of new communes are: Long Phung, Mo Cay, Mo Duc and Lan Phong.

In Tu Nghia district, according to the original project, the locality will be divided into 4 new communes. In which, Tu Nghia commune includes the localities: Nghia Trung, La Ha town, Nghia Thuong, Nghia Hoa. After consulting voters on April 20, with high consensus, the locality decided not to organize a consultation.

For Tu Nghia 1 commune (including Song Ve town, Nghia Phuong, Nghia Hiep), it is proposed to change its name to Ve Giang commune.

Tu Nghia 2 commune (including Nghia Thuan, Nghia Ky, Nghia Dien) is proposed to change its name to Nghia Giang commune.

Tu Nghia 3 commune (including Nghia Lam, Nghia Son, Nghia Thang) is proposed to change its name to Tra Giang commune.

In Nghia Hanh district, fulfilling people's opinions and wishes about the names of new communes after arranging to show the typical culture of the locality, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee decided to change the name by place, instead of the name of the name of the order as before. Accordingly, the names of the new communes are: Nghia Hanh, Dinh Cuong, Thien Tin and Phuoc Giang. The collection of people's opinions on the new name was held on April 23.

Accordingly, Nghia Hanh commune was established from Hanh Thuan commune, Cho Chua town and Hanh Trung commune. The commune headquarters is located at the current People's Committee of Nghia Hanh district (Cho Chua town).

Dinh Cuong commune: merged from Hanh Duc, Hanh Phuoc and Hanh Thinh. The commune headquarters is located in Hanh Phuoc.

Thien Tin commune: includes Hanh Thien, Hanh Tin Tay and Hanh Tin Dong. The headquarters is located in Hanh Thien.

Phuoc Giang commune: includes Hanh Dung, Hanh Nhan and Hanh Minh. Headquarters is located in Hanh Dung.

On the same day, Son Tinh district held a meeting of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee to give opinions on the naming of new commune-level administrative units. At the meeting, delegates agreed to arrange and name the new communes according to the following options:

Merging Tinh Giang, Tinh Dong and Tinh Minh communes into Song Tra commune.

Merging Tinh Bac, Tinh Hiep and Tinh Tra communes into Ba Gia commune.

Merge Tinh Ha town, Tinh Son commune and Tinh Binh into Son Tinh commune.

Merging Tinh Phong and Tinh Tho communes into Tho Phong commune.

Chairman of Son Tinh District People's Committee - Mr. Pham Xuan Vinh - has requested Chairmen of communes and towns to deploy collecting people's opinions by directing working groups to go to voters' homes to distribute and collect votes to collect direct opinions. The consultation must be completed and the results reported to the District People's Committee before 3:30 p.m. on April 23.
