Currently, communes, wards, and special zones in Quang Ninh are actively preparing for the election of village, hamlet, and neighborhood heads for the 2026 - 2031 term.
Up to now, 16/16 Village Fatherland Front Committees in Ba Che commune have completed the organization of conferences to unify and introduce people to participate in the election of village heads for the term 2026 - 2031, ensuring compliance with procedures, time and legal regulations.
This is an important step for the Fatherland Front Working Committees to continue to coordinate with Party cell committees, election teams and related units to implement the next steps in accordance with regulations; and at the same time promote propaganda and mobilization of voters to participate in the election, contributing to the successful organization of the village head election taking place on August 16, 2026.
Meanwhile, the mountainous commune of Ky Thuong is also actively preparing for the election of village heads in 6 villages after arrangement in the commune.
According to the plan, the establishment of Election Teams will be completed before August 6, 2026; listing voters' lists before August 9, 2026; notifying each household before August 14, 2026; organizing simultaneous elections on August 16, 2026 and completing dossiers and reporting results before August 21, 2026.
At the election of neighborhood heads for the term 2026 - 2031, Ha Long ward will hold elections in 16 neighborhoods on August 16, 2026.
To prepare carefully for the election of neighborhood heads for the term 2026 - 2031, neighborhood party cells spend a lot of time focusing on personnel work to select the right people with qualities, capacity, prestige, creating high consensus among the people.
At the same time, proactively review to compile and list voters' lists; inspect all facilities, polling locations, ballot boxes and conditions serving the election; promptly propose supplements, ensuring thorough preparation.
Along with that, continue to promote propaganda and mobilize people to actively participate; synchronously deploy urban embellishment, decoration, environmental sanitation, creating a clean, beautiful and spacious landscape before the election day.
According to a report by the Party Committee of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee, after arranging 1,452 villages, hamlets, and neighborhoods, Quang Ninh province still has 624 villages, hamlets, and neighborhoods, achieving a decrease of 57.02%.
After arrangement, 624/624 villages, hamlets, and neighborhoods meet the standards according to regulations; basically overcoming the situation of small-scale villages, hamlets, and neighborhoods that do not meet the standards for the number of households.
