Quang Ninh - Ngoc Vung Border Guard Station has just promptly rescued 6 fishermen on fishing boat QN-90095-TS that sank in the Van Don sea area.

On the morning of December 30, 2025, receiving a report about a wooden boat sinking in the Van Don special zone sea area, about 18 nautical miles from Ha Mai island, Ngoc Vung Border Guard Station (Quang Ninh Border Guard) mobilized a 500CV motorboat and mobile forces to approach the scene.

In the area where the wooden boat sank, the border guard force quickly deployed rescue, bringing all 6 fishermen on the distressed boat to the fishermen's boats fishing near the area to ensure safety.

The distressed fishing boat is numbered QN-90095-TS, 17.1m long, 400CV capacity. The captain is also the vehicle owner, permanently residing in Van Don; there are 5 crew members on board.

Determining the initial cause, the ship was carrying a large amount of fish in the hold with a large tonnage, encountering strong waves, causing water to overflow into the hold, causing the ship to sink.

Currently, Ngoc Vung Border Guard Station has developed a plan, when the weather is favorable, it will support ship owners to organize the salvage of vehicles.
