Among the destroyed goods were nearly 3,000 kg of frozen food, animal organs; 2,502 units of candy products; 250 tablets of functional foods; 331 kg of fruit and 320 liters of smuggled or unlicensed manual alcohol.
This activity is included in Plan No. 25/KH-QLTTQN dated April 14, 2025 of the Market Management Department of Quang Ninh province on strengthening legal dissemination and inspection and control to ensure food safety in 2025.

This is also a peak period in response to the Food Safety Action Month in 2025 with the theme: "Ensuring food safety, focusing on the safety of collective kitchen foods, food services and street food".
The inspection points include establishments producing and trading alcohol (especially craft alcohol), fresh food, packaged foods (such as milk), food service establishments, collective kitchens, walking streets, areas near schools, means of transporting food from other provinces to Quang Ninh, from the border to the inland and warehouses, food gathering points.
Some typical cases include: On May 4, 2025, Market Management Team No. 5 inspected Ha Long Bay Jewelry Store (Tuan Chau Ward, Ha Long City). 10.3 kg of dried velvet was discovered, 16 kg of chrysanthemum grass and 45 kg of dried stone ginseng of unknown origin. The total value of the goods was 870,320,000 VND.
On May 13, 2025, Market Management Team No. 4 coordinated with Traffic Police Team No. 3, Provincial Police Traffic Police Department to inspect a car with license plate 14C-142.XX driven by Mr. N.Q.T (Bac Son Commune, Mong Cai City). The vehicle was found to contain 360 kg of frozen pork belly and 224 kg of sausages of unknown origin, with a total value of nearly 50 million VND.

On April 29, 2025, Market Management Team No. 5 coordinated with the Economic Police Department of the Provincial Police and the Ha Long City Health Department to inspect a business household in Bai Chay Ward, Ha Long City.
Here, 1,105 kg of smuggled frozen food including: chicken feet, pig ears, pig intestines, meat, cartilage, pork ribs, chicken cartilage, buffalo corn was discovered. The listed price of the goods is 45,870,000 VND.
All food in the above cases was purchased floating, without invoices, documents, or legal documents, not ensuring food safety and hygiene, and had been destroyed in accordance with the provisions of law.
