This is the contractor for the construction of the Hung Vuong road project connecting the East-West Economic Corridor and the Southeast Quang Tri Economic Zone (referred to as extended Hung Vuong road).
The first reason for terminating the contract with the above contractor is due to the slow construction of the extended Hung Vuong road. Although the authorities have issued many urging documents and many warnings, the project's construction progress has not progressed.
After terminating the contract with the contractor, the project investor is currently coordinating with relevant units to check and confirm the volume performed at the site to finalize the contract before August 5.
In addition, the investor is coordinating with design consultants and supervision consultants to review and adjust construction drawing designs and update bidding package estimates as a basis for reporting to the People's Committee of Quang Tri province for approval. new bidding package, for the organization to select a contractor to continue implementation.
“In addition to the construction being behind schedule, there are many other reasons, so the contractor agreed to terminate the contract. The unit will complete the bidding process, it is expected that the project will be constructed at the end of the year and the project will be completed on September 30, 2025" - Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh said.
Regarding the above project, on July 11, at the 26th meeting of the People's Council of Quang Tri province, delegate Tran Viet Dung (belonging to Trieu Phong district) requested the relevant units to have solutions to overcome the situation. Construction of the Hung Vuong road extension project is slow . Because the project started construction many years ago, the ground has basically been handed over, but until now it has only been weathered.
It is known that the extended Hung Vuong road project has a total route length of nearly 4.2km. The project includes 2 routes, the main route is Hung Vuong street and the branch route is Bao Dai street (Trieu Phong district). The project contract was signed in December 2020, adjusting the contract implementation time to May 30, 2024 with a contract value of more than 64 billion VND. Currently, about 24% has been disbursed.
