Mr. Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, received 10 billion VND from Samsung Vietnam to continue distributing to provinces and cities.
At the reception, Mr. Choi Joo Ho, General Director of Samsung Vietnam shared: “I am very saddened that the recent storm No. 3 has caused so much damage and loss. On behalf of the management and staff of Samsung Vietnam, I would like to express my deepest condolences. Samsung sincerely hopes that this damage will be quickly resolved, and that the families, victims, and all Vietnamese people will soon overcome the pain.”
On behalf of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the people who are heavily affected by storm No. 3, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien shared that this amount of money will be used by the Central Relief Mobilization Committee for the right purposes, requirements, publicly and allocated promptly and transparently to the localities that are heavily affected when the storm passes.
Chairman Do Van Chien believes that with its efforts, Samsung Vietnam will contribute to further strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership, mutual trust and fostering the increasingly good relationship between Vietnam and Korea.
Previously, in order to join hands with the Government and the community to promptly support the people of the Northern provinces who are seriously affected by storm No. 3 (Yagi), starting from September 9, 2024, Samsung factories and units in Vietnam have successively launched fundraising programs through the main form of swiping cards to donate money at CSR kiosks in the company and many other forms of support. The donation program is still ongoing and has received the active response and participation of all officers and employees in the company.
With the vision of “Together for Tomorrow - Enabling People”, Samsung is focusing on implementing many activities to nurture the future generation of young people, typically the Solve for Tomorrow contest to encourage students to apply knowledge of STEM education methods to come up with practical solutions to social and local community issues.
