On the evening of October 29, the leader of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Gia Lai province said that heavy rain over the past few days has caused landslides in some areas in the area. In which, the road to OPY Station 500kV (belonging to Ia Ly Hydropower Plant, Ia Ly Commune) and the road to La Vuong (Hoai Nhon Bac Ward) experienced landslides.
In response to the above developments, local authorities have organized the evacuation of people from high-risk areas to safe places.

The local government has mobilized forces to clear the amount of landslides on the road, ensuring smooth travel for people.

This area is at high risk of landslides. In the immediate future, the commune encourages people to go to relatives and acquaintances' houses to temporarily take a break. In case the heavy rain continues, the commune will implement a plan to relocate to a pre-prepared safe area, with full necessities to serve the people.

"Human life is paramount, so we must take people out of the danger zone at all costs tonight," Mr. Tan resolutely said.
According to Mr. Tan, on October 29, there was very heavy rain in the commune. Through on-site inspection, some cliffs were recorded to have eroded due to strong water flows; some sections of the road to An Toan commune were eroded, some places had open frog's jaw, but travel was still basically convenient.
The authorities have put up warning signs in dangerous areas, and sent forces to be on duty 24/7 to monitor the developments of flooding and landslides and proactively respond.

"Units and localities absolutely do not be negligent or subjective; urgently inspect and review vulnerable areas at risk of landslides and flooding to proactively activate response plans. At the same time, resolutely evacuate all people from the dangerous area, not leaving any cases in the high-risk area", the Provincial Chairman directed.
