People's Committees of communes and wards must urgently inspect works, traffic routes, residential areas, taluys, riverbanks and streams at risk of landslides. At the same time, organize barriers, plant warning signs, arrange guards and restrict people and vehicles from passing through dangerous areas.
The Department of Construction is assigned to review, warn and overcome damage to traffic infrastructure on provincial and national highways.
Project management boards and investors must comprehensively inspect the current status of projects under construction or under warranty. Especially river dykes, sea dykes, and traffic dykes, to detect and promptly assess the risk of unsafety.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thien Van said that after the Ba River embankment collapse incident that killed 4 people in Son Thanh commune, the province is closely monitoring the situation.
Departments, branches and localities must urgently review and inspect works under management, be ready to respond and overcome incidents, and ensure the safety of works and workers.
Units must be responsible if incidents occur due to subjectivity or lack of inspection.
As Lao Dong newspaper has reported, the Investigation Police Agency of Dak Lak Provincial Police is investigating and clarifying the cause of the embankment collapse that killed 4 people in Son Thanh commune.
According to research, the Ba River embankment, the section passing through Son Thanh commune, has been damaged in many locations during the historic flood in November 2025.
