The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam will strictly handle airline ticket agents who sell in excess of regulations, especially during the 2025 holidays.

Speaking with Lao Dong on the evening of February 25, Mr. Uong Viet Dung - Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam - said that the unit has just issued a directive on improving the efficiency of air transport.

One of the notable highlights of the directive is the requirement for airlines to comply with legal regulations on domestic air transport prices.

Airlines are implementing ticket sales within the price range.

Airlines need to monitor ticket sales and bookings to find solutions to supplement the supply of cargo on routes with high demand, meeting the needs of passengers. Strengthen control of ticket sales by ticket agents; ensure ticket prices by ticket agents are in accordance with regulations.

"The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam will strictly handle ticket agents who do not sell tickets in accordance with regulations. The Department will also coordinate with competent authorities to handle ticket agents who collect money outside of regulations if there are complaints from passengers," the Directive clearly states.

The Directive also requires Vietnamese airlines to continue expanding and developing international air transport operations.

In particular, international exploitation activities will be promoted to local airports with tourist destinations such as Da Nang, Nha Trang, Hue, Phu Quoc, Van Don, Cat Bi, Da Lat.

Promote the exploitation of domestic air transport, ensuring good response to the travel needs of passengers, especially during the peak holidays of 30.4/5, the peak summer 2025 and the National Day holiday on September 2.

Strengthen transportation forces, supplement and improve the effectiveness of operating the fleet; continue to optimize the work of building flight schedules, operating and managing flights flexibly, in accordance with the practical infrastructure and service capacity of each airport.

Improve service quality, on-time flight rate, and on-time landing rate at airports.

Airlines need to develop and arrange flight plans to ensure the time for turning around aircraft and extending them appropriately.

Airlines study and arrange aircraft reserves under conditions to allow them to be on duty, ready to replace and adjust the exploitation plan.

In the coming time, airlines need to strengthen and improve the effectiveness of aircraft maintenance and technical repair; supplement appropriate human resources; work with suppliers to ensure ready supplies, equipment, and equipment to meet exploitation activities to minimize slow and canceled flights.

Strictly implement the responsibilities and obligations of the transporting person towards passengers in case of canceled flights or prolonged flight delays.

Improve the quality of receiving and handling feedback on complaints and concerns of passengers related to the use of airline services.

Airlines need to proactively coordinate with local People's Committees with airports and tourism and travel agencies in launching the market and developing aviation - tourism products.

Strengthen communication to passengers, provide information to guide passengers traveling by air, policies on services, ticket prices of the airline and activities of the aviation industry.
