HCMC - The Department of Food Safety of HCMC has transferred information about thousands of boxes of stolen functional foods to the police.

In response to the incident of thousands of functional food products being illegally dumped in the area of Nguyen Van Linh Street (Binh Chanh District), speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, on the afternoon of June 6, Ms. Pham Khanh Phong Lan - Director of the Department of Food Safety of Ho Chi Minh City informed that the unit had transferred the case to the police for investigation.

A representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health said that the unit also forwarded information about the incident to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety for further clarification.

As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, on the morning of June 6, people discovered thousands of functional food products dumped on the sidewalk of Nguyen Van Linh Street. Among them, many products have foreign labels and are still valid, some are valid until 2028.

After receiving the information, Phong Phu Commune Police, Binh Chanh District, were present to record the scene and questioned surrounding houses to handle the incident.
