According to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters on June 4, on some streets such as Luong Ngoc Quyen, Duong Quang Ham (Go Vap District) and some other roads far from the center, garbage, foam boxes, plastic bags... were thrown everywhere on the sidewalk and roadside.

Notably, previously, on Phan Thuc Duyen route, near the T3 terminal of Tan Son Nhat airport - where many people and tourists from other provinces and international visitors often visit - were filled with garbage, causing many people to be upset.

Frequently going to work in the same area as Duong Quang Ham Street, Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai (residing in Thu Duc City) said indignantly: "The traffic route has turned into a spontaneous landfill, with flies and mosquitoes, and the sun gives off a foul smell. I hope the local government will step up sanctions.
On Luong Ngoc Quyen Street, Mr. Nguyen Van Hau, a resident of this area, shared: Every morning when I wake up, I see garbage illegally dumped on the roadside. Some days, garbage spills onto the road, which is very dangerous for motorcyclists. This situation often recurred.

Faced with this situation, many environmental experts believe that Ho Chi Minh City needs comprehensive and long-term solutions. In particular, it is urgent to increase propaganda and raise people's awareness of environmental protection. In addition, local authorities also need to review and rearrange garbage collection points to better suit the population density and actual needs of each area.
On the other hand, mobilizing the participation of residential groups and local organizations also plays an important role in supervision and propaganda. For example, models with environmental protection significance contribute to changing people's living habits.

Ho Chi Minh City aims to become a civilized, modern and livable city, but to realize that, solving the problem of illegal dumping needs to be considered one of the top priority tasks. Not only the responsibility of the authorities, but also the action of each citizen in preserving and protecting the living environment.
