Due to the impact of storm No. 1's circulation, prolonged heavy rain in Chieng Hoa, Chieng Lao, Muong Bu, Muong La and Ngoc Chien communes, Son La province from the night of July 4 to 12:00 on July 5 caused landslides, collapses and damage to some power projects.
According to Son La Power Company, floods have caused incidents at 2 locations of medium-voltage power lines, disrupting power supply to 14 substations and 821 customers.

To ensure safety for people and the power system, Son La Power Company has proactively stopped and reduced power supply in areas at risk of landslides and power pole collapses. At the same time, it has transferred power supply to some areas to reduce the scope of impact and power outages.
The unit has mobilized manpower and vehicles to inspect the scene and deploy remedial plans to soon restore power to the people.

Currently, the remaining areas in Son La province are still supplied with stable electricity.
The electricity sector continues to monitor the developments of rain and floods, maintain disaster prevention and control duty, and be ready to handle arising situations to ensure the safe operation of the power system.
