On August 14, the Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Transport Works of Son La province said that the unit has approved the construction design of a solid bridge across the Ma River.
The project is invested and built to connect Chieng Cang village with Keo village, Muong Hung commune, contributing to completing traffic connection between the two areas.
According to the design documents, the route has a total length of about 1.05km, of which the Ma River overpass is 145.3m long. The starting point of the route connects to National Highway 4G at Km67+760, belonging to Chieng Cang village; the ending point connects to DT. 115 at Km24+540, belonging to Keo village.
The bridge is newly built, made of permanent reinforced concrete, consisting of 4 spans, each span 33m long. The bridge is 8m wide, including the driving part and railings on both sides, and is equipped with a lighting system.
At both ends of the bridge, access roads, drainage systems and traffic safety assurance items are built. Intersections with National Highway 4G and DT. 115 are designed synchronously with the main route.

According to the approved decision, the total estimated construction cost of the project is more than 56.42 billion VND. Of which, construction costs are nearly 49 billion VND; project management costs are more than 1 billion VND; construction consulting costs are nearly 3.9 billion VND, along with other expenses and contingency funds.
The project is expected to start construction on September 15, 2026.
When completed, the project will create a connection across the Ma River, convenient for people inside and outside Muong Hung commune to travel, transport goods and trade.
