Urban area in the middle of the ocean
The islands of Song Tu Tay, Sinh Ton, Da Tay A or Truong Sa (belonging to Truong Sa archipelago, Khanh Hoa province) now have the appearance of an urban area in the middle of the ocean, with a solid and spacious infrastructure. Stable houses, concrete roads along the island, wind power and solar power have been invested in, bringing convenience to the lives of soldiers and people on the island.
The connection between the island and the mainland is increasingly strong, with online television and radio bridges helping the army and people feel the closeness of their homeland. Sea traffic is stable, ensuring the transportation of goods and passengers.

Lieutenant Colonel Can Ngoc Son - Chairman of Truong Sa Town People's Committee (Truong Sa district, Khanh Hoa province) - said that, thanks to the attention of the Party and the State, the town has been invested in infrastructure system such as air station, hospital, post office, European and port. Spiritual works such as President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Memorial, Martyrs Memorial, and Truong Sa Pagoda have become a spiritual fulcrum, patriotic tradition for generations.

Vice Chairman of Song Tu Tay Commune People's Committee Cao Van Giap said that in the past, the island's fresh water was more precious than gold, but now thanks to the modern water tank and filter system, the lives of officers, soldiers and people have become more stable. Wind power and solar power also make daily life and work more convenient.
On Song Tu Tay, Sinh Ton, Da Tay A, Truong Sa islands, there are spacious primary schools. Here, in addition to studying under the 2018 general education program, students also participate in physical activities and arts, helping to foster love for the Fatherland.

Along with that, the health system is focused on investment. Captain, Doctor Le Dang Tuan - Head of Sinh Ton Island infirmary - shared: "The infirmary receives about 60 - 100 medical examinations and treatments per month. For severe cases, we consult remotely or provide first aid and then transfer them to the mainland".
A solid support for fishermen
Truong Sa is currently the second home of thousands of fishermen. Ship docks in Song Tu Tay, Da Tay A, Truong Sa and Sinh Ton are always ready to receive hundreds of fishing vessels, providing safe anchorage during rough seas. Repair stations, fishing villages and technical logistics centers provide free fresh water, food, food and medical supplies, helping fishermen feel secure to go offshore and stay at sea for a long time.
On the islands, the sky-high light system is a symbol of sovereignty and also a " bidding" to light up ships passing by. Modern hydrometeorological stations constantly update and warn of the weather, helping fishermen prevent natural disasters and protect their property and lives.

Captain Do Van Tuyen - Commander of Sinh Ton Island Technical Logistics Service Center - said that in 2024 and the first quarter of 2025 alone, the island received 181 ships with more than 2,000 fishermen to take shelter from the storm, supported the repair of 20 damaged fishing boats, distributed 47,700 liters of fresh water, more than 1,300 kg of vegetables and fruits and hundreds of life jackets and national flags.
Fisherman Ngo Van Thuong (Binh Thuan province) - who has been involved in Truong Sa fishing grounds for decades - emotionally shared: "Every time there are big waves and strong winds and broken ships, we always go back to Truong Sa".
