The chain traffic accident occurred at 4:30 am on January 3 on the Ham Nghi - Vung Ang highway in Cam Lac commune between a car with license plate 90H - 050.xx, a car with license plate 70H - 055.xx and a car with license plate 38A - 073.xx when all 3 vehicles were traveling in the North - South direction.
The accident did not cause any casualties but damaged vehicles and caused prolonged traffic congestion on the North-South expressway.
After the accident, the Traffic Police force and the expressway management unit regulated and diverted traffic through Cam Quan intersection, Cam Xuyen commune.
According to the expressway management unit, after clearing the scene, at about 9 am on the same day, traffic at the accident site was reopened.
